The Basic OMR Reader is the core component of any OMR solution.
It reads the bubbles from scanned images and raw data is generated.
The Basic Reader generates and provides data as it is without applying any post reading logic.

Example of Post reading logic is like : Value replacement where the software has read bubbles in terms of A,B,C and given output in Excel in terms of Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore.

Post Reading Logic can also be applied if Basic OMR Reader is coupled with OMR Sheet Designer that allows you to set different replacement values for blocks on sheets.

OMR Test Sheet Reader (Base Component)
It is used as basic reader in case of OMR Answer Sheet Checker process, where certain types of OMR blocks like Question, Rollno and Test ID have to be treated differently for further processing.

It is used to generate the results of OMR tests. Various levels of results can be drawn from raw data export in Excel to detailed tabular and graphical reports. Coupling Basic Reader (B0) with Multipage Form reading extension (B5) creates a convenient possibility to read and combine the result obtained from multiple pages of a single form. This feature is very convenient for multiple section tests with large number of questions, long application forms, long questionnaires for feedback etc.

The Basic OMR reader also has some addon possibilities for management of the data generated after various type of optical reading and post reading logic. If the basic OMR Reader is coupled with The Server Connectivity Feature (PF) then the Software gains the possibility to upload the data to a central server.

Even when the OMR API is used, it actually requires a license of Basic OMR reader running at the backend, which actually does the work of OMR reading and transacts the input and output through the API.

OMR voting sheets or OMR ballot paper can be folded, crushed but still can be read accurately. The process is a better alternative to the electronic voting system because a special electronic voting device is required, which is available only by the government and used for major elections. In the electronic voting system, there is no hard copy evidence or documentation of the actual voting so the reliability of the counts is always a question.

The OMR election sheet or OMR ballot paper bears the names of the candidates against which a blank area for stamping is provided. This is exactly similar to conventional OMR, process so no extra training of the voter or the polling booth manager is required. We have adopted a smart modular approach to bring out the most accurate results while reading handwriting. To be able to achieve the best results, we start the preparation right at the time of sheet design by providing proper space to write the text in proper size. Also we do not read the whole text as one, instead we read character by character. Though it consumes marginally more time but then it drastically improves the accuracy.

Further, Addmen ICR reader has the ability to designate the expected output of a specific block so that inappropriate values are automatically narrowed down to the nearest accurate possibility.

As per the information bulletin published by National Testing Agency about IIT JEE Mains 2021, there is a slight change in the examination pattern.

Though there is no change in the type of questions and the total number of questions per subject. But there is a slight change in the evaluation criteria of these questions.

Now each subject will have two sections. Section-I will have 20 questions and Section-II will have 10 questions. But in Section II, the candidate is supposed to answer only 5 questions out of 10.
